Last night, I had a dream that left me with more than just images; it gave me clarity. It was a dream about falling, carrying to much, and being watched by an audience. But it wasn’t just a dream; it was a mirror reflecting my own inner process.
Dreams, i’ve come to realise, are like whispers from the broader Essence of me. This one was telling me a story -not just about falling but about learning, simplifying, and aligning with what truly matters.
The Layer of Acknowledgement
Throughout my life, I’ve spent so much energy seeking acknowledgment from others. I built automatic behaviors designed to be seen, validated, and appreciated by those around me. But now I realize the true shift I need to make: turning that acknowledgment inward, toward myself.
In the dream, I carried so much, and now I see why —I wanted the audience to notice—. I wanted them to look and say, “Wow, look at what you’re carrying.” That need to be seen for my efforts and struggles has been a huge recurring theme in my life.
But the truth is, the real acknowledgment I was searching for isn’t theirs to give—it’s mine. It’s about placing myself in the audience and seeing myself for the weight I’ve carried. Others have their own lives, their own challenges to navigate, but I have the power to become my own audience, to honor my own journey.
From Insight to Energy in Motion
As I reflected on my dream, I realized the deeper meaning wasn’t just about gaining insight—it was about changing my behavior toward myself. The shift lies in seeing myself as the audience for my own life. Instead of seeking acknowledgment from others, my role is to steer my energy toward creativity and self-expression.
The dream taught me that when I root my energy in joy and pour it into actions that offer creativity and self-expression, fulfillment and joy naturally follow, not as goals to chase but as byproducts of living in alignment with myself. Then I automatically let go of seeking it elsewhere.
I don’t need to carry unnecessary weight anymore. I don’t need to prove anything to anyone or seek acknowledgment outside of myself. My responsibility is simply to create—to find and nurture ways that allow me to express who I am. That’s where fulfillment lies. That’s where joy begins.
Acknowledging What’s Been Neglected
If this resonates with you, start by asking yourself: what part of me have I been neglecting? Maybe it’s your creativity, your need for rest, or even a longing to be loved. Often, the first step is not to immediately fix or change anything, but to pause and recognize how you’ve been treating yourself.
Once you see it clearly, take a moment to acknowledge it. This is the part of you that has been waiting to be seen, and it deserves your attention. From there, comes acceptance. Acceptance doesn’t mean condoning or agreeing with how things have been; it means creating space to let it be as it is without judgment. This is the turning point.
Only from a place of acceptance can energy begin to move again. From here, you can start choosing differently—steering toward moments where you honor and nurture this part of yourself. Over time, new patterns will form, and the path you walk with yourself will feel lighter and more fulfilling.
The shift lies not in the destination but in the steps you take with yourself today.
Here’s to creating our own reality,
